- Why should I sell my livestock online?
- Cowsoko supports to sell their animals to a wider circle of potential buyers and to do that in best moment to achieve maximum profit.
- How can I sell my livestock on Cowsoko?
- Incase you want to be registered as a seller on Cowsoko? Please visit our offices or contact us using the telephone number or email on our contacts section. Once you have been registered, you will be able to upload your animal onto Cowsoko app.
- How do you determine price of an animal?
- Prices of beef cows, sheep and goats are calculated based on live weight. Prices of other categories are determined based on costs of rearing, age, production, sex etc.
- What can I do incase I upload details the wrong animal?
- There is edit button in the app that’s allows you to re-enter the details.
- Can I upload someone else animal?
- No. The sellers account is linked to other private and personal details that is used for payment. Therefore, a sellers account is for personal use. For more details direct that client to us for assistance.
- Why should I buy animal online
- Cowsoko provides buyers faster cheaper and easier way to find appropriate animals for their needs.
- How can I buy an animal on Cowsoko?
- You are required to first create a free account on Cowsoko. Once you have created account, you can access all livestock available on sale. You Select animal of your choice and proceed to pay, and wait for delivery on designated delivery points.
- Where do Cowsoko get livestock?
- Cowsoko has partnered with credible farmers who keep pedigree and non-pedigree animals in their farms. These farms are located in different parts of the country. Currently our main market is Isiolo.
- What If I want to buy many animals?
- Incase you want to purchase more the 30 livestock, we have a dedicated service where you will place an order, with details of the livestock required like breeds, price range, weight etc. A sales agent from Cowsoko will then contact you and help with procurement and supply of the same.
- What happens when my livestock is injured or dies while in transit?
- Cowsoko will compensate the buyers either by refunding amount paid or replacing the animal lost with another with the same characteristics.
- How do I pay for my purchase?
- You can pay conveniently using mobile money options. Currently we only support Mpesa, but are working to integrate other payment options. Bank payments are accepted for bulk purchases.
- Do you conduct home delivery?
- We can arrange for home deliveries for orders exceeding 30 animals. For other purchases we have delivery points conveniently located close to you from where you can pick your livestock. Home deliveries can be organized at extra cost.
- What do I do incase I am not satisfied with the livestock I receive?
- Contact our helpline immediately for assistance
- How will I know that my animals have arrived to the destination terminal?
- You will receive three text messages, when the transporter leaves the market, in the midst of the journey and on arriving our destination terminal.
- Which days do you do deliveries?
- Delivery is done as soon as we have a truck full. This can be daily but not more then 5 days
- Can I assign someone else the task of transporting in case of breakdown?
- In case of breakdown, report the issues to our office for directions.
- What do I need in order to legally transport your animals?
- Visit Cowsoko office with your details and that of your truck and driver. If you qualify, a transporters account will be opened for you and a legal Cowsoko transportation letter issued which will allow you to transport our animals.
- Where can I download the mobile app?
- Open google play store and search 'Cowsoko' or Click this link.
- Does it cost anything to use the mobile app?
- No. our mobile app is completely free to download and install.
- Is the mobile app secure?
- Yes! All critical information is encrypted and no personal information is stored on your mobile device. However, mobile devices do offer you the ability to store your login information for apps installed on the device. If you choose to store your login information, any person who has access to your mobile device can access your account.
- What’s the difference between the mobile app and mobile website?
- Our Mobile Apps are native Apps that can be downloaded and installed on your compatible mobile device, while the Mobile Website is a web portal that runs directly in the mobile browser on your smart phone or other mobile device. Both the native Apps and the Mobile Website allow you to access your account information, view news releases, or contact CowSoko directly from your mobile device.
- What should I do in case I forget login in password?
- There is reset button where you are required to re-enter another password.
